No sugar, salt Sleep support Recommended purpose: Helps increase total sleep time (aspect of sleep quality) in people suffering from sleep restriction or altered sleep schedule (e.g., shift-work and jet lag). Helps to prevent and/or reduce the effects of jet lag (e.g., daytime fatigue, sleep disturbance) for people travelling by plane easterly across two or more time zones. Helps reduce the time it takes to fall asleep in people with delayed sleep phase syndrome and reset the sleep-wake cycle of circadian rhythm. Helps in tissue formation and in the maintenance of healthy muscle function, healthy bones, and teeth. Helps metabolize carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. How to Use Recommended dosage (adults only): 1 tablet once daily or as directed by a physician. Do not drive or use machinery for 5 hours after taking melatonin. Jet lag: 1 tablet once daily at bedtime while travelling, and at destination after darkness has fallen until adaptation to the new daily pattern. For occasional short-term use. Sleep restriction or altered sleep schedule, delayed sleep phase disorder, sleep-wake cycle: 1 tablet once daily, at or before bedtime. For use beyond 4 weeks, consult a physician. CAUTION: Consumption with alcohol, other medications or natural health products with sedative properties is not recommended. Consult a physician prior to use if you are taking one of the following medications: anticoagulant, anticonvulsant, blood pressure medications, immunosuppressive medications, sedative, hypnotic or psychotropic medications, or steroids; or if you have one of the following conditions: asthma, cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, depression, diabetes or hypoglycemia, hormonal disorder, immune system disease, liver disease, migraine, or seizure disorders. Do not use this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Mild gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, or cramping) and rare allergic reactions have been known to occur, in which case discontinue use. When used for sleep restriction/altered sleep schedule, delayed sleep phase disorder or sleep-wake cycle, consult your physician if symptoms persist continuously for more than 4 weeks (chronic insomnia).
