How to Use INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AS A HOT PACK: HOT WATER: 1. Boil 2-3 liters of water in a pot; enough to cover the compress completely. 2. Carefully remove pot from heat. Place the compress into the hot water for seven minutes if compress is at room temperature. 3. Place the compress into the hot water for ten minutes if compress is taken from the freezer. 4. Remove compress from pot with a pair of tongs. CAUTION: PRODUCT MAY BE HOT, HANDLE WITH CAUTION. 5. Wrap compress on a towel or cloth before applying to affected area. MICROWAVE: 1. Place compress flat on top of a paper towel in the microwave. 2. Set power level to 'high' and heat in intervals of 15 seconds until desired temperature is reached. DO NOT heat for more than one minute. CAUTION: PRODUCT MAY BE HOT, HANDLE WITH CAUTION. 3. If compress was removed from a freezer, set power level to 'high' and heat for a maximum of one and a half minutes and allow pack to stand for 30 seconds. If more heat is required, heat the compress for an additional 15 seconds with equal standing time. DO NOT heat compress for more than two minutes. 4. Remove compress from microwave. CAUTION: PRODUCT MAY BE HOT, HANDLE WITH CAUTION. 5. Wrap compress in a towel or cloth before applying to affected area. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AS A COLD PACK: 1. Store compress flat in the freezer. For best results, leave compress in the freezer for a minimum of two hours. 2. Remove compress from freezer and wrap in a towel or cloth before applying to affected area. Warnings CAUTION: It is important to use product only as directed . Pack can reach high temperatures therefore do not apply directly to skin. Always apply a towel or cloth between skin and compress. Users with circulatory problems should refrain from using compress. Consult a physician before use. Discard if punctured or torn. If contents come into contact with skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water. Avoid contact with eyes. If contents come into contact with the eye(s), rinse eye(s) for several minutes under running water. If contents are accidentally ingested, contact physician immediately. For external use only.
