For hypokalemia treatment: 20-50 mL [40-100 mEq] daily in 2 to 4 divided doses. Dilute in at least 250mL cold water or juice, to be taken in 2 to 4 divided doses. Take this medicine immediately after meals or with food to lessen possible stomach upset or laxative action. Warnings WARNINGS: - To be taken only on the advice of a physician. - Where impaired renal function exists, the use of potassium supplements must be monitored closely. - The use of potassium supplements with sparing diuretics (spironolactone, triamterne, amiloride) may lead to hyperkalemia. - Do not use with other potassium-containing supplements or with potassium-containing salt-substitutes.
