Uses - for treatment / relief of frequent heartburn (occurs 2 or more days a week) - not intended for immediate relief of heartburn. How to Use Directions adults (≥18 years) - swallow 1 capsule with a glass of water before eating in the morning, every day for 14 days - do not take more than 1 capsule every 24 hours. Warnings WARNINGS ALLERGY ALERT: Do not use if you are allergic to esomeprazole, other proton pump inhibitors, or any of the listed ingredients. DO NOT USE - if you - have trouble or pain swallowing food - are vomiting with blood - have bloody or black stools - have chest or shoulder pain with shortness of breath, sweating, pain spreading to arms, neck or shoulders or lightheadedness - or have heartburn with lightheadedness, sweating or dizziness. These may be signs of a serious condition. See your doctor right away. - are taking rilpivirine (medicine for HIV infection). ASK A DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST BEFORE USE IF YOU - have - had heartburn for 3 months - frequent chest pain - frequent wheezing particularly with heartburn - unexplained weight loss - nausea or vomiting - jaundice or other liver problems - stomach pain - a history of stomach ulcer or surgery on your stomach or bowels - if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding - if you are over 55 years with new or recently changed symptoms - if you take - atazanavir, nelfinavir or saquinavir (medicines for HIV infection) - clarithromycin (antibiotic) - clopidogrel (heart medicine) - diazepam (anxiety medicine) - digoxin (heart medicine) - prescription antifungal or anti-yeast medicines - methotrexate (cancer medicine) - St John's Wort (hypericum Perforatum) - tacrolimus (immune system medicine) - warfarin (blood-thinning medicine) - SSRIs such as citalopram (antidepressant medicines) - phenytoin (epilepsy medicine), rifampin (tuberculosis medicine) - erlotinib (cancer medicine) or drug from same class - any other medicine to reduce stomach acid - or any other prescription drug. WHEN USING THIS PRODUCT - this drug may take 1 to 4 days for full effect. STOP USE AND ASK A DOCTOR IF - your heartburn continues or worsens - you - need to take this product for more than 14 days - get diarrhea. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
