Recommended dosages Age: Under 12 months; Take in first 6 hours: 400-600 mL; Maximum per day: 1300 mL Age: 1-3 years; Take in first 6 hours: 700-1000 mL; Maximum per day: 1900 mL Age: 3-6 years; Take in first 6 hours: 1000-1400 mL; Maximum per day: 2600 mL Age: 6-12 years; Take in first 6 hours: 1800-2400 mL; Maximum per day: 3900 mL Age: 12 years-Adult; Take in first 6 hours: 3000-3600 mL; Maximum per day: 6600 mL Recommend use Start taking Hydralyte to prevent dehydration on the first signs of fluid loss due to vomiting and diarrhea. Use Hydralyte rather than juices, soft drinks, sports drinks or water to manage dehydration and to rapidly restore fluid and electrolytes. Sip small amounts regularly. Continue with breast or formula-feeding of infants, between sips of Hydralyte. Warnings Warning and cautions Consult your physician if vomiting, diarrhea or fever persists for longer than 24 hours. For children under two years of age, consult your physician. Consult a healthcare professional if you have any medical problems relating to kidney or heart function, blood pressure, gastrointestinal function or show signs of severe dehydration including shock, or are unable to drink. Signs of dehydration Dark yellow (or no) urine, lethargy, dry mouth, loss of skin elasticity, sunken eyes, sunken fontanelle. Do not use if outer cap seal is missing or broken.
