Betadine Solution 500 ml

Uses: For the preparation of skin prior to surgery and injections. Cleansing of minor cuts, scrapes and burns. Helps prevent and reduce the risk of infection by rapidly killing harmful bacteria, viruses and germs. Helps treat fungal infections of the skin. How to Use Directions: For topical use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, flush eyes with water. Do not heat prior to application. Pre-operative use: Clean the affected area. Following cleansing of the operative area, paint with BETADINE SOLUTION and allow to dry. Wounds, burns, skin lesions: Apply directly to affected area once or twice daily unless directed otherwise by a healthcare practitioner. Discontinue use and consult a physician promptly if irritation or sensitivity develops. Rare anaphylactic reactions have been known to occur. Avoid pooling beneath the patient as chemical burns of the skin may occur. In oropharyngeal use, precautions should be taken to prevent aspiration of BETADINE SOLUTION into the respiratory tract, as this may cause complications such as pneumonitis. This may particularly occur in intubated patients. Absorption of iodine from povidone-iodine solution may lower the iodine uptake of the thyroid. Do not use within 4 weeks of radioactive iodine treatments or if using products containing mercury. Warnings KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
