Fast Itch Relief Lasts For Hours Temporarily relieves itching associated with minor skin irritations, inflammation, and rashes due to: eczema, psoriasis, poison ivy, oak, sumac, insect bites, contact dermatitis caused by detergents, jewelry, cosmetics, soaps, seborrheic dermatitis. Temporarily relieves external anal and genital itching. How to Use Directions For itching associated with skin irritation, inflammation, and rashes: - adults and children 2 years and older: apply sparingly to affected area, not more than 3 to 4 times daily. - children under 2 years: ask a doctor. For external anal and genital itching: - adults and children 12 years and older: gently cleanse, rinse thoroughly, and dry the affected area prior to application. DO NOT USE - if you are allergic to hydrocortisone or any of the ingredients in the product - in the presence of any untreated infections - if you are breastfeeding - on mucosal surfaces - in or around the eyes or on large areas of the body - more than directed. ASK A DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST BEFORE USE IF - you are pregnant - you are using to treat diaper rash - you have vulvar itching associated with vaginal discharge WHEN USING THIS PRODUCT - do not put directly into the rectum - avoid long term use in children due to the possibility of stunted growth - avoid covering large areas of your skin for long periods, as this may cause adrenocortical function suppression - continuous application without interruption will result in superficial patches on the skin, particularly on the face - sudden discontinuation after prolonged use may result in worsening or return of condition, low cortisol levels or steroid withdrawal syndrome. STOP USE AND ASK A DOCTOR IF - condition worsens, symptoms persist for more than 7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days, and do not begin use of any other hydrocortisone product unless you have asked a doctor - rectal bleeding occurs.
