Uses stool softener for treatment and prophylaxis of constipation. How to Use Directions - Adults: take 1 to 2 capsules daily - Children: as directed by a physician. Warnings WARNINGS Overuse or extended use may cause dependence for bowel function. Laxatives should not be taken within two hours of another medication because the desired effect of latter may be reduced - Laxatives should not be taken for more than one week unless prescribed by a physician. DO NOT USE if you have abdominal pain, nausea, fever or vomiting. OTHER WARNING. Frequent or prolonged use may result in dependence on laxatives. - In case of overdose, call a poison control center or get medical help right away, even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms STOP USE AND ASK A DOCTOR IF rectal bleeding occurs - Symptoms persist, last for more than 1 week - You have noticed a sudden change in bowel habits that persists over a period of 2 weeks.
