How to Use Directions For itching associated with skin irritation, inflammation, and rashes: - adults and children 2 years and older: apply sparingly to affected area, not more than 3 to 4 times daily. - children under 2 years: ask a doctor. For external anal and genital itching: - adults and children 12 years and older: gently cleanse, rinse thoroughly, and dry the affected area prior to application. Apply to affected area not more than 3 to 4 times daily. - children under 12 years: ask a doctor. Additives Fragrance free Warnings Warnings FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. DO NOT USE - if you are allergic to hydrocortisone or any of the ingredients in the product - in the presence of untreated infections (of bacterial, viral, tuberculous or fungal origin) - if you are breast-feeding - on mucosal surfaces. CONSULT A DOCTOR IF - you are pregnant since there may be risks to you and your baby - you have tumors of the adrenal gland since fatal complications have been reported (pheochromocytoma crisis) - you experience visual impairment since complications may be associated (cataract, glaucoma, and other rare diseases) - you have vaginal discharge in the genital area - you are using to treat diaper rash. WHEN USING THIS PRODUCT - do not use in or around the eyes. - do not use more than directed unless told to do so by a doctor. - do not put directly into the rectum. - do not apply to large areas. - prolonged treatment should be avoided in children because of the possibility of stunted growth. - do not cover extensively or for a prolonged period of time since this may cause adrenocortical function suppression. - continuous application without interruption will result in superficial patches on the skin, particularly on the face. - not recommended for prolonged use in the management of long-term acne. STOP USE AND ASK A DOCTOR IF - condition worsens, symptoms persist for more than 7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days, and do not begin use of any other hydrocortisone product unless you have asked a doctor. - rectal bleeding occurs. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. ADVERSE REACTIONS - hives - blurred vision - visual impairment - weight increase (long-term use)
