Benylin Extra Strength Dry Cough, 100 mL, has the strength to help silence your dry hacking cough. Its syrup formula helps coat and soothe your throat. Get effective relief of dry hacking cough. Packaged in bottles of 100 mL and 250 mL. Each 10 mL or 2 teaspoonfuls (tsp.) contains 30 mg of cough suppressant Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide to help control dry hacking cough. For use in Adults and children 12 years and over. Shake well before use. Use 2 tsp. (10 mL) every 6-8 hours. Maximum 8 tsp. (40 mL)/day. Not recommended for children under 12 years. Be unshakeable with Benylin. How to Use Directions - Shake well before using. Adult Use Only (12 years and older): - Take 2 tsp. (10 mL) every 6-8 hours - Do not take more than 8 tsp. (40 mL) in 24 hours. Warnings WARNINGS DO NOT USE - with a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (drugs for depression or Parkinson's disease) or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug - with other drugs containing dextromethorphan - if allergic to any of the ingredients. ASK A DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST BEFORE USE IF YOU - have been told that your body breaks down drugs slowly or are taking other medications, persistent cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma or emphysema, cough with excessive phlegm (mucus), difficulty breathing or other chronic lung conditions as these could be signs of a serious condition - are pregnant or breastfeeding. STOP USE AND ASK A DOCTOR IF - new symptoms appear, symptoms worsen or last for more than 7 days - you develop a high fever (>38℃), rash, persistent headache or the production of thick yellow/green phlegm. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. In case of overdose: Call a Poison Control Centre or doctor immediately, even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.
